President Buhari receives Letter of Credence from EU, Italy and Spain
President Muhammadu Buhari has received a Letter of Credence from three new envoys at the Presidential Villa Abuja. The ceremony began around 10:30 am and ends 12noon with a colourful parade from the Guard of Honour.
Those who presented letter of credence are His Excellency Ketil Karlsen the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria, followed by His Excellency Dr. Stefano Pontesilli, Ambassador of Italy to Nigeria, lastly, His Excellency Marcelino Ansorena, Ambassador of Spain to Nigeria.
Present at the ceremony includes, the Host of all Diplomatic Missions in Nigeria, His Excellency, Geoffrey Onyeama Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari; National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; and President Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
During a brief audience His Excellency Ketil Karlsen the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria President Buhari said his administration is committed to promoting accountability because the youths deserve to inherit a stable and prosperous country.
He noted that more than 60 per cent of Nigerians fall into the age category of youths, adding that the insistence on probity and transparency in the public and private sectors is to secure the future of the country for all Nigerians.
